The funny Comment of the Day

Well today after a long day of shopping and running around we pulled into the driveway and began unpacking the truck.
Weston had gone to the house and was waiting for us to come in. I was busy focusing on getting the stuff in the house so I didn't hear Weston talking to Grammy. But when we got in the house Weston very loudly says mommy unbutton my pants! He repeated it a few times before I had my hands free to unbutton. My mom was laughing and told me that while I was unloading the truck he was saying " unbutton my pants plz I don't want to crap in my pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG ! what the heck. man we  really have to watch the things we say now. It was funny at the time but of course we tried to keep a straight face so he didn't realize we were laughing and then he would never stop saying that.
And yesterday he was playing with his trucks and I heard him say that he was going to drive to the shop and paint the FREAKIN truck.
I have to just stop talking because he is such a sponge and I don't even notice when I use those words! That's all i need is for him to say those things out in public in front of people. That will look really good! hahahahahah

Christmas fun and yummy treats!

Well this week started out with decorating  for Christmas and trying new treats!

 One day at quiet time( which is when nelson sleeps and mommy and Weston cuddle on the couch and watch each of our own favorite show)I decided to surprise Weston with some apple cider in a real cup like mommy's and it was a big hit! he loved it! He was so proud of his cup. I would look over and watch him gulp down the cider and he would smile at me with it dripping off his chin!

 So in the spirit of Christmas and well I had been craving them I decided to make short bread cookies. But cookies I would feed the kiddies. And that means natural sweeteners only! Ive tried alot of different recipes for treats with natural sweeteners only to be disappointed. But I hit the jackpot with these. I used brown rice syrup as the sweetener and they turned out great. Very close if not identical tasting as when made with icing sugar! lets just say the kiddies and well myself loved and devoured them quickly! ( made ginger snap cookies today that we disappointing but the kids love them so hooray for yummy treats for them. ) I will stick with my ginger recipe from last year that turned out pretty good!

 Saturday morning we got up early jumped in daddy's work truck and took off for the day. The Christmas fun filled day.We had a family breakfast which was yum and then off we went to Yuletide Tree farm!

Loaded the boys into the sled and set off on our search for the perfect "2010 steeves Christmas tree!"

 We took our time and tromped to the farthest Field until we spotted our tree! We deliberated as a family and came to a group decision and then the boys quickly got to work. Weston pushed , daddy sawed and Nelson oversaw the job! Good Work TEAM! hahah

 Rapture? hahah that was sort of freaky!. Pat stripped Weston out of his gear to  put him in the truck and we looked back and his pants and boots where sitting like that, had to add the jacket for the picture!

 1st Christmas Parade

 The weather was beautiful. Not to cold and it snowed the whole time. Big fluffy flakes!

Snowy fun filled family night!

Nelson was at home in Bed. He was a tired boy.

After we took Weston and met friends for nachos at mikes restaurant and Weston was so good. It helped that he was tired so he just occupied himself by coloring and playing and building with the creamers and crayons etc. I wish eating out was always that easy. But maybe its better that it isn't because we save so much money by eating at home!

Perfect day!

Decking the Halls and making new friends!

Monday night I decided that it was a perfect time to dig the decorations out and start putting some up. It was snowy out and it was perfect.

I got out MR SNOWMAN , and Weston took him under his wing immediatly. Dragging him around the house and showing him the ropes!

I was multi tasking by decorating /organizing the decorations and making supper.

Weston asked me if I would share my supper with MR SNOWMAN.

Sure why not!

I came back into the kitchen to see that Weston had set a little table for him and MR SNOWMAN to dine at. It was pretty cute. A table cloth and everything. Thats my boy!

  After I told him that supper wasnt ready yet they got on their work gear and were going to hit the job site!

             So supper time came and we had to make sure MR SNOWMAN was at the table.

Shortly after supper Weston says to me "mommy mr snowman is real big, he is going to have a kid, and it will come out his gina ( vagina)

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I almost fell off my chair.That made my day.

When  we were on vacation Pat decided to tell him that mommy had another baby growng in her belly.

so Weston asked how the baby would get out. Pat began to say thru mommy's belly, but I chimed in and told him it would come out of mommy's vagina. (Iam n ot a sugar coater , I dont see the point . he should know what a penis and a vagina are) So anyway he then asked " well how does it come out?" and I said well mommy pushes like when you push to have a poop! anyway he thoought that was ok and continued to tell us he thought it was a sister in mommy's belly!

So I guess he decided that he like how babys happen ed and decided that mr snowman would have one too!

What a cool Kid!

How many LINES?

If you look really close you will see 2 lines ! woo hoo.

I orignally thought I was preg that month until the day before my period was due I took a test and it was negative! ( it was a 5 day early test) It was the same test I used with both boys and a day or two before my expected period. So I was confused. I felt preg and I was pretty sure I knew by now when i ovulated and Iam sure we caught it this month. So I told myself OK next month. But then my period date tuesday came and went and by friday aug 24th I was ready to try again. And TA DA........

This morning at 9:30 am i strolled into Dr Gillespies office. Expecting a wait , i was pleasantly surprised to see I was the only one there. Wow , So I peed in the cup, and got weighed. Not to bad ! it was less than my scale at home( which sucks for a new digital scale, it gives me a diff weight in different spots in the house)

I came in at a whopping 154 pds.

Not to bad since before each of the boys I was 147 and Iam 4 months sooner this time around.

So after the extended small talk with Dr Gillespie and the resident doctor i was put into the room to wait.

In comes Dr Gillespie and hands me a small paper.

And says " so you know for next time it takes more than just getting the prescription written for the IUD , you actually have to get it and use it"

The paper was my prescription for an IUD from my 6 wk post Nelson doctors appointment that I never came back for! hahahahahahaha we all got a good laugh.

I couldnt decide what type if any of the IUD's I trusted so I decided to not get any !

Anyway the resident doctor gave me my check up and continued to tell me how healthy I appeared and how amazing he thought my pregnancy`s were.

Yup Iam blessed I said ``I guess you are`` he responded

Nice Guy!

Becuase I have big babies and during my preg with Weston I tested high for the gestational diabetes but was fine the second test , they suggest that I get a early test done at 16 weeks as well as the one later on.

They figure my ultra sound will be just after Christmas. Seems so close.

And then my Doctor came back in and decided to try to hear the heart beat. He was telling the resident doctor that its hit or miss this early in pregnancy but since I wasnt BIG there was a descent chance. Is it sad for me to take She isnt Big as a compliment hahahah

Well I did ! you take what you cant get when you know your body is going to continue expanding!

And after a few seconds it was there! a little heartbeat.

It feels official now!

So EVERYONE its offical there is a 3rd Steeves baby on the way.

With the arrival date of May 29th 2011

Iam a few days shy of 12 weeks and of course like both other pregnacy`s I pretty much start showing just after taking the home preg test.

12 weeks

Iam looking forward to posting throughout the next 6 mnths

Iam blessed to not get sick with my pregnancy`s . I experience 2-3 weeks of off and on nausea around weeks 6-9 but then Iam good to go.

Iam sleepy but thank God my boys are good sleepers and I get my rest.

So Carla and Melanie you got me again! you called it with Nelson and this time. Man nothing gets by you too! I love it!

Westons 1st Harvest Fair

Decided a few days before to take3 Weston to the Harvest fair at the church.

Its his first halloween experience.

 We just used his elephant costume. It was supose to be  a bible character. So Weston was a elephant from the Arc. hahaha

 We got there and looked around at all the different games and booths and he just wasnt sure what mwas going on. He is assessing the situation.

 And then he engaged. Played pumkin ring toss. Which was really him standing right there and placing it on the top.He must get that cheating gene from his dad!Because I was like what are you doing thats not how you do it. Then I was like relax Shan hes a kid and hes having fun! hahaha then i just let him do his thing.At least iam not in denial about how I am. haha

 His Buddy Nathaniel cleaned the floor with him. He was a super star in that race. I was just excited to see Weston try it and finish the race. It is so cool to see Weston doing things like this now. 3 is a awsome age.

 We had a tired boy after a while so we just laid down and watched the others

 Then we got a second wind and decided to give the wheel barrel a try. Just me and him , but again I thought it was pretty cool that he tried to do it!

 Weston excited that mommy let him have a sucker.

At first he wasnt sure what to do with it and if I would really let him have it.

(it was an organic sucker from YUMMY EARTH)

 Weston and his prize he won.

His name was the first named called in the ticket draw. He heard his name and looked at me not knowing what it ment. I quickly prompted him to go up and grab one of the prizes.

He scored a big hot wheels trailer that hauls cars!

And of course the piece du resistance!

And of course Iam talking about me drueling over it.

We let him have the chips, set aside a few candies for ourselves and chucked the rest in the garbage. And thank God the next day was garbage day or else I would of probibly been doing a little garbage digging to get at the candy! Sad yes. And that is why we dont buy or bring junk into our house. Cuz  I am all or nothing and I know the effects eating crap has on our bodies and I choose to exercise self control for the health of my family.

I believe refined sugars and proccessed foods, un organic meats and dairy, and the use of toxic plastics are the number one cause of sickness in the world.

So people may think Iam wierd and  not understand why I choose to not feed my children sugar, dairy, or non organic meats etc  and use no plastics and only selective and on my own schedule vaccinate my kids. But I strongly feel that  what Iam doing will create a healthy start and will teach my kids to make health consicous choices in the years to come.

After all our bodies are the temple of the Lord.

I think it is our responsibility to learn and know what is harmful to our bodies and teach ourselves to build it up and not tear it down.

Dont get me wrong . I love processed , sugary foods like the next person . But I also have read and now  know to much about the adverse effects!

Doesnt seem worth it to me!



Westons first package in the mail!

                                              Woo hoo weston got a package in the mail!

Well it got sent to the wrong address but the guy was nice enough to bring it to our house instead of returning it to the mailbox.

      Just relaxing , taking his time. I was like hurry up I want to see whats in there. Clearly takes after Pat.

                          OMG hurry up . the suspense is hurting me! not affecting him at all clearly!

The MONTH long BIRTHDAY party ! part 2 the finale

So , Oct 16th at 4 pm we had the boy's combined birthday party! It was at the camp and it was full of fun, food and family!It started out with everyone heading out to the pavilion ( because it was raining so we needed the covering) with our tools in hand. We had a surprise/project to finish up for the boys. The saturday before we had prepared the base of the project at the shop as a family

They loved it, especially because we made it ourselves!

After a few minutes of playing and realizing that isnt the safest thing I could of thought of we ventured back inside before we had a birthday accident.

We had pizza and all the kids favorite  chips and hummus

Then it was cake time.

(I decorated it an hr before the party, so although it appears half descent in my mind I had intended for it to look alot better. But Iam learning that I can only do what I have time to do and well this is how it turned out and the boys thought it was great , so that is all that matters.)

(my cake board ended up being to small when I strated putting it together so I had to work with what I could find. and it turned out to be a large piece of plywood and I put tinfoil over it, thnx Ron. and i didnt have the licorice yet to join the cars together)

  I dont think these need an explanation !

HAHA it was yummy cake thats for sure.

At least it was organic cake mix! made me feel a bit better but the icing was just pure garbage with a ton of food coloring in it. For those of you who know me , know that , that is a big deal for me. But its their birthday and its once a year so I tried not to think about it and i actually let Weston have two cupcakes full of icing and mini m&m's. I was very proud of myself for loosening up for a half an hr. hahahah

 We then  brought out the 4 ft balloon. Pat started blowing it up but punked out after a few minutes so I once again stepped up and took one for the team and saved the day.hahaha Man that is alot of air to give up. I had to stop prematurly but I think had it been any bigger it would have busted alot sooner than it did. Weston had fun hitting it around and well so did Pat and I.Haha but we did buy it for the kids . but Iam thinking Pat may get one in his stocking this year haha That thing is FUN! We saw devistation and tears whne it burst but we quickly recovered with other fun birthday activities. Such as

It may look cheap but he love it!( turned out to be alot smaller than I thought)

 Everyone had a turn. Westons job was to put the safety glasses on people and turn them around at least 3 times and then watch where they went.

Weston was actually the winner. He had gone first and got it practially where it was suposed to go!

Then before any melt downs had occured I figured we needed to keep it flowing so we jumped right into the gift portion of the evening!

Weston loved opening the gift and playing with them. And I mean all the gifts. Once again Nelson didnt stand a chance at opening and playing with his own birthday gifts.

There is always next year buddy. You will be bigger and tougher and you will actually care about openeing your own gifts!

              To finish the evening off we did a family photo shoot. Weston got his picture with all the family!

Happy Birthday

WESTON & NELSON

And it isnt over yet. Today is Oct 29th the day after Weston actual birhtday . But to Weston it is his birthday. Pat wasnt around last night so we decided to make today his birthday and have his little family celebration . That is on their actual birthdays we go for supper just he 4 of us  and go to CRystal Palace.

So this morning we had eggs and blueberries for breakfast as requested by the birthday boy and then decided it was time to decorate his big pumkin.

.

A friend had mentioned that she used mr potatoe head parts to decorate their pumkin. i. And so i asked Weston and thought it was a great idea.

 so I let him TOUCH my drill for a second and then yanked it from his little hand and got to work drilling wholes. House rule! No one uses mommys tools! hahaha cant give them an inch or you know what happens. I will never be able to find my stuff.

And this is what we created today. wonder what it will be tomorrow.

But best of all look at Weston. His mouth isnt wide open screaming DUMPTRUCK. well it was a few seconds before, but then I asked him to smile and after me showing him evey smile I had he pulled this one out of his hat. Not bad for his first put on smile!

Then we packed up and met Grampy at the Irishtown walking park for a brisk walk. Dropped by Trina's for a visit then homeward bound we set!

With a sleepy but determined he wasnt tired, boy on my hands I decided since I wanted a nap and we were having a birthday outing this evening that a nap all around was a must.

So because it was his birthday I told him that mommy wanted to have a nap with him in his bed. Well he was intrigued with this idea. Mommy never sleeps with me he's thinking. So i reiterated that it was only because it was his birthday and the little dude was sold! off we ran to brush our teeth and hit the hay!

It was a great nap by the way!

Then we were off to Ponderosa for supper.

Kind a sketchy place but its cheap( especially with coupons) and it is a buffet , which means instant food no waiting. And if you choose wisely you can get a descent meal out of it. Salads ,soup and fruit.

 Check out that smile people. We r defiantly on to something here! Coloring while waiting for mommy and daddy to stop stuffing their faces with food so we can get going !
