Never a dull moment........: August 2011

It was a kitchen appliance weekend!!!!

Monday myself and the kiddies went out to visit Nanny and to use her Vitamix to make some ice cream.

So then Saturday Nanny And Papa had a surprise for us!

Oh we were all so excited to open a surprise.

And even more excited to find out it was our very own Vitamix!!!!

Ive wanted a new one for a while now but just couldnt justify buying one!

Guess I dont have to now.

We are very blessed. and very grateful that they bought us one!!!

The kids had fun opening it up. they call it the ice cream maker!

Iam so excited about it that I found a place that it will displayed as soon as we got home!

And then Sunday my mom informed me that she seen the juicer I wanted on kijiji for a descent price.,

So off I went to Dieppe after a great afternoon at the pool with friends and went and bought myself a juicer.

Ive used this kind before so this morning I got right to juicing.The boys and I had carrot / apple/cantelope juice.

And then made Pat grapfruit apple juice when he stopped in for a bite to eat.

Oh and of course Ive been using my dehydrator again. When we were at Claudettes on Monday she was showing me the things she had been dehydrating and it gave me the itch to get back into using ours.
So I got mushrooms , mango and apples and got to work.

Very much looking forward to the fall to get back into the cooking groove!!!!!

                                   Thnx God for working things out to be the way they are today!
                                                         We wouldnt change a thing!

TEACH THEM YOUNG

So Ive officially had enough of cleaning up the kids spilt snack puffs.

So this morning I said nope not picking anymore of them up.

If you make the mess you clean the mess.

So Weston had to go get the vacuum and get to work.

He actually did a very good job. Then he comes out and says mommy you can vacuum the ones under my bed because I think I would get to tired if I did them. He did good and it is a great start to the pick up after yourself lesson!

He's a BIG BOY now!

Friday Aug 19th was the first night Noz Slept in his big boy bed.

I decided to switch the bedrooms around .

Because it was time for Nelson to make the change from the crib to bed, since weston had taught him to climg out and come play with him in the morning.

Instead of weston and nelson sharing a room like originally intened i switched it to having the crib and nelson bed in one room and putting Weston into the nursery to have a room to himself.

Figured until the boys are a bit older it would just be a challenge to get them to sleep and not wake each other up!

Nelson took to sleeping in his big bed with no great effort on our part!

Nelson all covered up with his blankies crashed out in his new bed!

What a great , awesome,fun, memorable summer family visit!!!!!!!! The thing that could of made it any better than it was , is if Darren would of been able to come and be apart of the family fun.We were all disaapointed that he wasnt able to make it. Hopefully next time!
