Special Helper

Today at preschool NoZy was chosen to be the special helper . I heard his name being called and he didn't realize what was going on . I wasn't sure he would go up , but when he figured out what they were saying , off he ran!
I see him slowly coming out of his shell. He's not a shy guy but he doesn't really like doing different things than he is used to.
It's fun watching him do new things !

Green thumb?

For the past 3 years I've struggled to get fruitful garden where we live . In our previous homes I haven't had any problems at all. So I have concluded that it's the soil here.
Last year I tried to add to our soil and still no results.
So I am fed up and will now try a diff approach.
Garden boxes full of rich beautiful Steeves excavating topsoil!!!!!!!!!!
I am building 4by 8 boxes and Iam starting with 4 of them.

I am excited to see a descent crop this year again .
So to awaken the same excitement
In the kids I pulled out planter kits I bought for them awhile ago!

So we got to work . We planted tomatoes , green peppers, beans. The boys will have their own garden box to care for and they are excited about it .
We will see how long the excitement lasts.....
So we put there potted seeds in the sunroom and in a week or so we will be watching them grow !!!!!!

Born a musician

Haha well today I saw lenon playing music . It was cute . Wonder if he will be a musician like we sort of expect . No pressure but we all sort of think he will be the free spirited musician type . That would be cool. My dad is musically inclined but it seems to of skipped his kids but reappeared in the grand kids . Jenny and Joe got the gene so maybe at least one of ours will. Who knows I guess .

debt free

I am pretty pumped about the junior financial peace set I got for the boys . Today we pulled it all out and are going to start teaching and applying the principles for the kids .
It's some amazing stuff .
We learnt alot from the adult course . So to be able to start teaching the boys from the beginning how to deal with their finances is so cool !
I also got the cool money banks that back up the Give /Save/Spend principle .

Super Saturday

Last Saturday we had a family day. After lunch we packed up and hit the road to the shop/ nanny and papas house. We played and worked at the shop. We searched the woods for scrap metal to retrieve . We wanted the boys to work and earn a few dollars . Then we hopped in the kubota and went for a tour. First to Kenny's to feed the chickens and see the baby kids ( goats) then we went and scoped out the canadian goose nest . It was pretty awesome. We are hoping to be able to see the newly hatched babies . Hopefully we don't miss it ! Great learning experience for the boys .

The new MINI

Last week Steeves excavating bought a new MINI digger . So we threw on our work clothes and off we went to inspect it as it arrived .
The boys had their coveralls on and Weston said he needed a mechanic cap so we searched around until he came up with the idea of using his bathing cap. So we were waiting for it to arrive so we hopped out of the vehicle and Pat and I looked over and saw Weston pulling his cap On and standing their ready to roll. We had to hold back our laughter because he was so serious . He was there to inspect the mini digger so that's what he was going to do .
He is so hard core about work. So hard core that he most nights lays out his work clothes on the end of his bed so he can just get up and slip them on . Most mornings he is up and dressed before pat and comes and wakes him up and says come on daddy it's work time !!!!!
Nelson likes to look the part but just stand back and observe .........
Amazing memories were made that night !

Birthday Boy

It's was Pat's bday last Monday ! We made him one of his favorite meals and the boys bought him some gifts . I asked the boys what they wanted to get daddy for his bday. Weston thought about it and said we could buy him bigger muscles !!! We all burst out laughing Lol but the he said daddy ripped his work shirt so he needs a new one. And then Nelson said " coveralls" . The boys were given coveralls for working a few weeks ago and so Nelson wanted daddy to have a matching pair . Soooo cute. So we hit up marks work warehouse and they picked out his gifts .
And we thru in a few other things .
We surprised him with a iPad . He didn't see that one coming . You can see his face in one of the pictures .
We had a fun birthday night !

Huh well maybe this isnt so great!

So I am not so excited about the blogger app since it mixes up my pictures and cuts them in half . Grrrr not cool. What now ??

On the road again.....

Easter Monday , mom, dad and myself and Lenon hit the road heading for Bangor. Lenon had a make shift bed at the hotel. It was cute .
Tues morning we hopped a plane to Charlotte .
Sherry picked us up and the laughs began.
We flew up for Jenny my nieces wedding . It was at a beautiful vineyard. Always a great photo opp when everyone is cleaned up .
Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the Bride and I on my phone .
I had a great time . Got to hang out with Joe my nephew and his girlfriend Rachel and I love my sisters house . It's perfect . Cozy and relaxing .....
Great trip . But left feeling sad that we all live to far away!!!!!
