Zzzzzzzz's

Well 5.5 wks later , I finally got around to getting V into her bassinet . I figured I would have her in for when Pat came back from Atlanta . Since he's been bunking in the boys room so V and I could get better sleep . She was sleeping on his side of the bed .
First night wasn't smooth but every night has gotten better and better . ( second night I propped her up with a pillow and it made a big difference . That's how she slept in the bed so she was used to it .
Last night she went to bed in her bassinet at 10:30 and slept until 4 have her a quick feed and then back she went until 6:45 when she was woken up by the boys coming into our room ( which isn't suposed to happen and actually hasn't happened for a while ) .
All in all it was a smooth transition .
(As you can probably tell from the pictures she likes her blanket up around her face . Lenon was actually the same :)

Pretty great Monday !

We have started our week off on the right foot for sure !
I had a shower and the first picture was a pic off my cute little audience ! They are awesome they let me shower every morning and patiently wait for me to finish . Well some days are more patient than others , but all around pretty good .
Then Trina and her boys came over for a visit .
And then we had another visitor ! Tanya and her girls . Italy's and I haven't had a visit in prob 4-5 years ! So it was a awesome day . It was so good to see her and her girls again . The boys took right to the girls and the girls loved holding Victoria . The kids played while the moms chatted !
The girls gave the boys their little people train set and toys !
The boys thought that was pretty great !
Highlight of the boys when asked was. " playing with the Girls"

Can we build it ?

Brought the boys to chapters this morning !
Weston took a liking to to building with Lego . We have mega blocks at home but they don't seem taken with them.
Chapters has Lego duplo which is bigger than reg Lego .
So after chapters we hit up Walmart to see what we could find for affordable Lego .
Lego ain't CHEAP!!!
We picked up a box set of Lego to get things started .
He's excited to work and make money so he can buy more Lego :)

Happy Easter

We had a fun family filled Easter weekend!
Friday Pat and the boys were gone to the shop for most of the day , so miss V and I had a lovely lazy day spent cuddling in bed and watching shows . Then Sat they were gone again til noon so we did the same thing .
Followed up by a visit from Arnell , who curled my hair , came for a family maple ton park walk, pizza and popcorn night with the boys and a cuddle session with Victoria while Pat and I went for our favorite buffet supper oh and a surprise photo session to get a updated picture of Pat and I .
This morning I for the first time put a dress on one of our children. ( thnx aunt mel for the perfect Easter outfit ) Then we enjoyed the Easter production at church then grabbed a subway lunch with Nanny and Papa and then home for a round of Easter memory game and a egg hunt for the boys !
And to top off a great day , Victoria cuddled in bed for the night .
Oh but before that I mopped the bathroom and kitchen floors !
I really enjoy not being preg !

Good baby ? As apposed to a " Bad" baby ??????

I am often asked , and have been for all our babies , if Victoria is a good baby !
I guess I know what they mean but it makes me laugh a bit at what they are asking and it sounds like a weird thing to ask if u think about it . Not sure but I don't think there is actually a bad baby .
But like I said , I do understand what they are getting at .
And my resounding answer for all our babies has always been " yes we have had 4 very content babies , great eaters and sleepers and pretty easy going "
We have been doing pretty good with sleep at night . I have a routine that I used with all our babies . I feed them every 3 hrs and starting at 7 pm I cluster feed every 2 hrs . So 7,9,11 which is bedtime for me . By feeding every 2 hrs it helps to build up calories in their bellys that help them sleep longer .
So far V sleeps from 11 til 2:30-3 and I give her a quick half asleep feed for a few min and then put her back down and she then sleeps for another 3-4 hrs and then another quick feed and back to sleep she goes at which point it's usually time for me to get up and I get a shower in before she wakes again .
Normally our babies sleep in a bassinet beside our bed , but since we have been home Victoria has been sleeping with me in our bed . I started that because even with a bassinet beside the bed the movement and effort it took to get her in and out of there caused a strain and discomfort for my many stitches . So I have her beside me in her own little cozy spot .
Pat has been a trooper and has kindly been sleeping in the boys room with them. Which the boys love and will miss when we go back to our norm.
But we have a cool new loft bed for them that should help lesson the disappointment of daddy leaving and coming back to mommy .
